Sony Xperia Z vs HTC One
Earlier this year Sony Xperia Z has been announced which was containing a tone of new features and also, was one of the high end devices from the company yet.It was announced around the CES 2013 and after a month and a few weeks it’s competitor the Taiwanese giant has announced the HTC One which was leaked as the HTC M7 from the last year and finally was announced. It is also a tough competitor for the Sony Xperia Z as they have nearly the same specifications, but the design and other things also makes the difference which makes a consumer to die for.So, these two are the upcoming phones in India and will be priced very near, so if you want to know which one is better between these two then, you are at the right place.

Design:
Sony Xperia Z and HTC One are quie different in design, but the looks of both these deices are good. The first phone is 139 x 71 x 7.9 mm in dimensions, while the other one is 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3mm and we can clearly see that the Xperia Z is thinner than the other one.The HTC One has a similar design to that of the previous One Series devices, so we cannot give a full on credit to the Taiwanese giant, but on the other hands Sony has worked hard to get a new design which though reminds us of the Sony Xperia Tipo as well.Anyway, from our view point we find the design of HTC One a much better one, because Sony Xperia Z design is quite normal for a cell phone which consists of a straight metal body and having curved edges which was the design of last year, but in 2013 we shall see some improvements in the design segment as well in the near future. So, in this segment we can see HTC One taking the lead.
Display:
It is having a 5.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display which is 1920 x 1080 pixels in resolution and provides a PPI of 441 which is quite dazzling as well.On the other hand, the cmpetitor is having a 4.7-inch Full 1080p HD display as well which provides a PPI of 468 which is a little better than it’s competitor, but here the screen size matters which is bigger in the first phone.Anyway, we declare that in this segment they are equal.

Operating System and Connectivity features:
Both these devices are running on Big G’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and both will receive the future updates as well.HTC One is having the new Blinkfeed which provides the live homescreen along with the HTC Sense 5.0 User Interface, but there is nothing special in the user interface of the other phone. Both these devices are 4G+LTE devices and have connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB port and a 3.5mm AV jack as well. So, in this segment we can see that the Taiwanese tech giant’s cell is leading because of the new UI which makes the phone much more coolerHTC One.

Processor and Camera:
HTC One is packing a 1.7GHz Qulacomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor along with 2GB of DDR2.On the other hand, Sony Xperia Z packs a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor along with 2GB of RAM.On the back of this device there is a 13.1 Megapixel camera present on the Japanese tech giant’s phone which is having the Exmor R sensor and on the other device, there is a Ultrapixel camera which is a new phone and is quite better than the other cameras which means that in this segment we can see the HTC On leading again.
Being Rugged, Being Great:
Sony Xperia Z may be on the lower end side, but there is a feature which can completely make a turn over.Well, the Xperia Z is a rugged device which means that it is scratch, water and dust resistant product.Shatter proof and scratch-resistant glass and is having a IP57 certified device and is water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes.on the other hand, the HTC One is not a rugged device which can get affected by water, so you should be very careful.

Other features:
The internal storage of the HTC One is 32/64GB while there is 16GB storage for the competitor and you can expand the external storage upto 32GB via a microSD card as well. Both these phones uses the MicroSIM cards and both have nearly equal weight. The other features like video play back and sound quality are nearly the same, though the HTC’s device is a eats Audio device.
The Verdict:
Overall, we can see that these two phones are very near to each other and if you want to buy a rugged device, the pick up Sony Xperia Z otherwise the HTC One will be a good one for you. From our point of view HTC One is better than the competitor. Also, we have collected the data from Sony India which revealed that this phone will be launched in the country by March, 26th.So, it completely depends on you which type of phone you want to buy a Rugged one or a phone having gigantic features.
